Audiences can look forward to unforgettable performances from Stella Cole, Norbert Leo Butz, and Matthew Morrison \u2014 three powerhouse talents bringing their unique artistry and charisma to the intimate Samueli stage. Showcasing some of today\u2019s most captivating voices from stage and screen, the Center will present breakout musical sensation Stella Cole<\/strong> (January 15\u201317, 2026), two-time Tony Award \u00ae winner Norbert Leo Butz<\/strong> (February 26\u201328, 2026), and beloved Broadway and television star Matthew Morrison<\/strong> (March 19\u201321, 2026). Segerstrom Center\u2019s Cabaret Series transforms Samueli Theater into an intimate club setting, where audiences experience world-class artists up close. Stella Cole<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning with an impromptu a cappella clip of \u201cOver the Rainbow,\u201d Stella Cole<\/strong> became a global viral sensation for simply doing what she has been passionate about her whole life – singing songs from the Great American Songbook.  To watch her perform is to be transported back in time. Her sense of joy and wonder is infectious \u2013 as one look at her massive social media following makes very clear.   She has a combined social media following of over 1.6 million and her most viral singing video has a staggering 27 million views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These fans are immediately struck by her rich tone, irresistible charm and extraordinary vocal control.   However, what is particularly rare is her ability to interpret songs that were initially intended for actors in character in a direct, personally vulnerable way that connects to something within herself.  Her incredible talent has quickly placed her in the lineage of the greatest interpreters of the repertoire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norbert Leo Butz<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norbert Leo Butz<\/strong> is a two-time Tony Award winner for Best Actor in a Musical and is one of only nine actors to have ever won the award twice as lead actor. In this special evening of story and song, Butz sings highlights from his storied three decades on the boards of Broadway – from his humble beginning as the 7th of 11 children (his first bed was a drawer!) to his Tony triumphs and everything in between.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butz originated roles on Broadway in Jason Robert Browns\u2019 The Last Five Years<\/em>, Stephen Schwartz\u2019s Wicked,<\/em> in Andrew Lippa\u2019s Big Fish<\/em>, in Harry Connick Jr\u2019s Thou Shalt Not <\/em> (Tony nomination), in the Lincoln Center 2018 revival of My Fair Lady <\/em> (Tony nomination) and his two Tony Award winning performances in David Yazbek\u2019s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels<\/em> and in Shaiman and Whitman\u2019s Catch Me If You Can<\/em>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butz\u2019s television and film credits include Netflix\u2019s Bloodline, Fosse\/Verdon, Justified: City Primeval<\/em>, and the soon to be released new series on FX from Ryan Murphy Gladiator: American Sports Story<\/em>, as well as the recent Exorcist<\/em> sequel by David Gordon Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew Morrison<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew Morrison<\/strong>, known for his standout role as Will Schuester on “Glee,” is a dynamic performer whose charisma and versatility have captivated audiences for years.  With a background in musical theater, Morrison effortlessly blends his impressive vocal talents with a strong acting presence, bringing depth and charm to all his performances. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morrison made his debut on Broadway in Footloose, <\/em>but his big break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the Tony-winning hit Hairspray.<\/em> Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Light in the Piazza<\/em> and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for 10 Million Miles<\/em>.  Morrison starred in the Tony-winning revival of South Pacific<\/em> at Lincoln Center Theater in New York and then returned to the stage as J.M. Barrie in the musical Finding Neverland<\/em>, for which he received two Drama Desk nominations for his role, and won the category of Favorite Actor in a Musical in the Broadway.com<\/strong><\/u><\/a> Audience Awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morrison was also nominated for a Best Actor Emmy Award as the iconic director of the glee club on Fox\u2019s musical comedy series Glee<\/em> . The show was created by Ryan Murphy and received the Golden Globe Award  for Best Television Series \u2013 Comedy or Musical in 2010 and 2011. Morrison has had many other iconic roles on TV, most notably on the hit CBS show The Good Wife<\/em> and ABC\u2019s Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>. He starred as the Grinch in NBC\u2019s 2020 production Dr Seuss\u2019 The Grinch Musical Live!<\/em> and he\u2019s also been a judge on the reality dance show So You Think You Can Dance<\/em> on Fox. We are thrilled to welcome this Orange County School of the Arts alumni back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
