MICHAEL FEINSTEIN CLOSES THE PASADENA POPS 2025 RUSNAK SUMMER CONCERT SERIES SINGING GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK FAVORITES

Pasadena, CA (August 21, 2025)– Principal Pops Conductor Michael Feinstein puts down the conducting baton and picks up the microphone to sing an evening of his favorite songs from the Great American Songbook on Saturday, September 6 at the Los Angeles County ArboretumFeinstein’s Favorites will close the 2025 Summer POPS season and cap Feinstein’s 13-year tenure as Principal Pops Conductor, before he assumes the role of Emeritus Pops Conductor in 2026. In quintessential Feinstein fashion, Michael will take you on an insider’s journey through the stories behind the music from Gershwin to Cole Porter, all the way to Billy Joel. Hear I Got Rhythm,” “Night and Day,” “New York State of Mind” and “The Way We Were,” as part of a special tribute to the late Alan Bergman. It will be a season finale you won’t want to miss.

The multi-platinum-selling, Emmy and Grammy Award-nominated Feinstein has been dubbed the “Ambassador of the Great American Songbook” for his preserving, presenting and interpreting that seminal body of work. He has curated an evening filled with music from these legendary composers as only he can. Feinstein is the undeniable expert on the Gershwins, starting his career as Ira Gershwin’s archivist, and he’s pulled two of Ira’s favorite charts from the archive for this exclusive engagement.

All concerts are held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, located at 301 North Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA.
