Newport Beach, CA – Yesterday, Orange County’s 5th Supervisor District fundraising reports became public, showing Supervisor Katrina Foley has out-raised opponent Diane Dixon by more than two-to-one. Katrina Foley’s campaign reported a fundraising haul of more than $215,000, compared to just $83,000 for Dixon. Supervisor Foley’s cash-on-hand advantage is even greater–her war chest tops $228,000 as of June 30, against Dixon’s mere $62,000, giving Foley a cash-on-hand advantage of more than three-to-one, and growing. Supervisor Katrina Foley released the following statement responding to the news: “Orange County families, workers, public safety advocates, and business owners want effective, ethical leadership on the Board of Supervisors. Our fundraising haul is due to hard work, a broad coalition of support, and dedicated long time supporters who want real results delivered for our communities. I look forward to the campaign ahead. As always, I remain focused on making a tangible difference for the people I’m honored to serve.” |
